Quick Reminders-
Student Resources: You can always find our school calendar, upcoming performance information and your student portal on our Student Resources page here - https://www.outofthisworldmusicschool.com/current-students . You can easily cancel lessons and schedule make-ups in your student portal at any time.
24hr Cancellation Policy: We understand that illnesses can arise unexpectedly. Our cancellation policy is designed to protect our instructors' income, not to penalize students. When you enroll, you reserve a dedicated time slot with an instructor in a specific room each week. This means that both the instructor and the teaching space are exclusively allocated for your lesson, and your instructor invests time in preparing a personalized lesson specifically for you in advance.
Virtual Lessons: In most cases, we can convert to a virtual lesson with short notice due to illness, weather, transportation, etc. If the roads are ever deemed unsafe for travel by local authority, all lessons will be converted to virtual for that day. If we do not have you set up for virtual lessons, please get with the desk. While it may not be ideal for continued lessons, we find that it is a good idea to be prepared in case you find yourself needing to jump online instead of heading to our campus.
Withdrawal Policy: With holidays approaching, please keep in mind that we do not have a “pause” option for lessons. To discontinue lessons and cancel future tuition drafts, you must submit a withdrawal form no later than the 15th of the final month you wish to be billed for lessons. For your convenience, the withdrawal form may be submitted online here - https://www.outofthisworldmusicschool.com/withdrawal-form

We deeply value the significant impact that performance has on musicians and strongly encourage all students to participate at some level. Even a mini-recital for family and stuffed animals at home can be profoundly beneficial!
Our goal is to provide students with several unique opportunities throughout the year to engage with musical performance in the settings they most enjoy. We are excited to try new things like the Rock of all Ages event with the City of Pflugerville, the Piano Pformal later this year, as well as continue rocking out at our Cosmic Concerts at Hanover’s, and showcase stellar productions through our Satellite Showcases.
Our community is incredibly important to us, and we warmly invite you to share your thoughts, requests, and inspirations for student performances in the future. Please email info@outofthisworldmusicschool.com and your input will be considered in our upcoming performance planning.
Thank you for 15 fantastic years of music and community,
Michael, Reema, Atlas, & Azzun Garcia

Tips & Suggestions:
Quiet on set! Remember that microphones can pick up sounds like ceiling fans, appliances, and even AC. If possible, choose a quiet place to record your performance. For the best audio outcome when playing along to a track, please send the audio recording of the performance and the track separately. The performer should wear earbuds or headphones while performing so that the recording device only picks up their performance audio. If you find that you are hearing unwanted sounds on your track, try turning the AC/heat off, turning ceiling fans and appliances off.
Lights! Cameras love light. Adding as much light as you can to your set will yield the best visual results. Remember, the camera is your audience. Consider giving your fans a quick intro before your performance and taking a bow after your song!
Camera! When using a handheld device, be mindful of both movement and sound interference. To avoid this, place your recording device in a secure position, like a tripod/selfie stick/mount/etc. The microphones on these devices are quite sensitive, and even the slightest movement or hand shifting can create loud pops/noises. If you are using a cell phone, please be aware that videos will be streamed in landscape. If you submit a video in portrait, it will be smaller in order to fit the screen.
Action! Have fun and get creative! Personalize your music video with a special backdrop, costume, props, pets, or even have your friends/family join in as extras on your set.
Applause! Tune in to the live stream and enjoy the many congratulations from your fans! Also, be a great audience member and leave positive comments for your fellow musicians.
