Out of this World Music School Performances
OOTWMS performances are a celebration of hard work, dedication, and love for music. Students of all ages, skill levels, and musical backgrounds come together for an unforgettable day of music and inspiration. When students develop a strong love for performance early on, their musical development will carry on for a lifetime. Students are encouraged to choose their own performance song, which inspires them to practice and bring out their best!
Annual Student Performance Schedule:
Spring Cosmic Concert: In-Person; March
Summer Satellite Showcase: Virtual; June
Fall Cosmic Concert: In-Person; September
Winter Satellite Showcase: Virtual; December
Our Cosmic Concerts are a wonderful and supportive environment for students to experience the joy of public performance on stage in a local venue. The feeling that students receive when a crowd erupts into applause is unforgettable. It gives each of them validation for their hard work and relief that no one has to be perfect to perform. The inspiration from seeing other students up on stage is contagious and often encourages the best performances this time, and next time around. See you at the show!
Our Satellite Showcases are a unique opportunity for students to submit video performances. These shows are great option for students/bands wanting to make a music video, students who wish to perform multiple instruments on one song, students with stage fright, students interested in audio/video content creation, and are a fun experience for all! Recordings can be a simple cell phone recording, a full blown music video, or anywhere in between. Friends and family around the globe can tune in and enjoy the show!

Tips & Suggestions:
Quiet on set! Remember that microphones can pick up sounds like ceiling fans, appliances, and even AC. If possible, choose a quiet place to record your performance. For the best audio outcome when playing along to a track, please send the audio recording of the performance and the track separately. The performer should wear earbuds or headphones while performing so that the recording device only picks up their performance audio. If you find that you are hearing unwanted sounds on your track, try turning the AC/heat off, turning ceiling fans and appliances off.
Lights! Cameras love light. Adding as much light as you can to your set will yield the best visual results. Remember, the camera is your audience. Consider giving your fans a quick intro before your performance and taking a bow after your song!
Camera! When using a handheld device, be mindful of both movement and sound interference. To avoid this, place your recording device in a secure position, like a tripod/selfie stick/mount/etc. The microphones on these devices are quite sensitive, and even the slightest movement or hand shifting can create loud pops/noises. If you are using a cell phone, please be aware that videos will be streamed in landscape. If you submit a video in portrait, it will be smaller in order to fit the screen.
Action! Have fun and get creative! Personalize your music video with a special backdrop, costume, props, pets, or even have your friends/family join in as extras on your set.
Applause! Tune in to the live stream and enjoy the many congratulations from your fans! Also, be a great audience member and leave positive comments for your fellow musicians.
Pflugerville Piano Pformal
We are excited to announce the pfirst ever Pflugerville Piano Pformal, proudly co-hosted by Pfluger-Rock and Out of this World Music Schools. We hope to continue to offer a variety of performance opportunities, so that everyone can participate where they feel most comfortable. This opportunity is ideal for those who are seeking a more traditional recital experience and venue. The venue has a concert grand piano for students to use. In addition to piano students, students who are interested in performing an acoustic instrument like violin or acoustic guitar are also welcome to join. Vocal performances are also welcome, but must be a capella. Please note that we will not have any speakers or gear to facilitate electronic performances. We will not be printing shirts for this event, but all participants will receive a commemorative trophy. ***Please note that performers MUST remain present for the duration of their concert, no exceptions. Every student deserves a full house applauding their hard work. Concerts are no longer than a movie and are a celebration of music, inspiration, and community. ***
